Our home in Lipótváros

We were a family who loved good coffee and long, unhurried brunches, so we built our own version of that on Hercegprímás utca. Every brunch spot we’ve opened since gets measured against this one.

Lipótváros suits a slow morning. We sit on a quiet downtown street just off Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út, with the dome of St. Stephen’s Basilica rising a short walk away and the grand run of Andrássy Avenue and the Hungarian State Opera not far beyond. Office regulars from the neighbourhood tend to arrive early; by mid-morning it fills with people who’ve walked around the Basilica, and the odd well-behaved dog too (ask and we’ll bring a water bowl).

Reasons to sit down

Our brunch is cooked fresh on-site from locally-sourced ingredients, and the vegan and vegetarian plates get real attention, with the vegan ones cut right back on seed oils. There’s specialty coffee, and a mimosa if the morning calls for one.

The cookies are what pulls people back. Chunky, handmade, baked in-house every day with real butter and proper chocolate: Belgian, Nutella, Lotus, Dulce de Leche. Start with one warm alongside a flat white, or go straight for a slice from our Cheesecake by Cookie Beacon line. When you’re done, it’s an easy stroll down to the Danube Promenade or across to Deák Ferenc Square.

Getting here

You'll find us at Hercegprímás u. 15, on a quiet downtown street just off Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út in Lipótváros. Walk toward the dome of St. Stephen's Basilica and we're a short walk from its front square. Deák Ferenc Square and the start of Andrássy Avenue sit close by, so it's easy to fold a visit into a morning downtown.
