Cookie Beacon Brunch is coming soon to Amman, Jordan. It will be our first brunch spot outside Europe, and it brings the two things the brand is built on: the hearty brunch and the handmade chunky cookies that started in Budapest in 2021. It will be on Wasfi Al-Tal Street in the Dabouq district. The opening date is not announced yet and will land first on the Amman Instagram, @cookiebeacon.mena. Until then, the five existing brunch spots are on the stores page, in Budapest, Bucharest and Belgrade.
Every Cookie Beacon so far has opened in a city the family already knew. Amman is different. It began with a guest at a table in Budapest, and Omar, our partner bringing Cookie Beacon Brunch to Jordan, tells that part best.

How a Budapest brunch turned into an Amman opening
In the words of Omar, our partner in Amman:
I was just another Jordanian Erasmus student travelling through Europe with my friends, when one of them saw a Reel of Cookie Beacon Brunch and said, “Guys, I really think we should add this to our Budapest bucket list.” We couldn’t have agreed more.
We went there right after checking into our rooms, and we knew straight away it must be something special.
We were seated and started taking in the details of the décor. It’s a place where you sink into a feeling of warmth and relaxation. Before we knew it, we had the amazing menu we had seen in the Reel in front of us, along with their famous chunky cookies.
The whole experience was even better than what we had seen online. The food, the atmosphere, the people around us, and just sitting there with friends: it all came together.
While we were waiting for the bill, we were talking about how good the experience was, when one of my friends said: “If only we had something like this in Amman.”

Why Amman
That line stuck with Omar, because of what a restaurant means in Amman:
In a high-traffic city like Amman, where we don’t have a seafront to spend time at, a big park that people escape to on weekends, or a well-organized, walkable city center, a restaurant is one of our few escapes, a place to breathe: somewhere that hosts you, your family and your friends, and distracts you for a while from the fast, intense streets of the city.
It’s our activity, our thing: to go somewhere, sit down, have a nice meal, and enjoy that beautiful Amman atmosphere together.
And just as I felt welcomed to Budapest through that Cookie Beacon Brunch experience, I thought it was time for it to open its doors and welcome people to Amman too.
That is the brief for the Amman room: a place to sit down for a long meal with your family and friends.
What the Amman brunch spot will look like
These are design renders, so the finished room may differ in the details. The direction is the one guests know from Budapest: sage-green frames, pale brick, woven rattan lamps, round wooden tables and a counter stacked with cookies.

The renders show a glazed corner unit, with windows running along two sides of the room and a cushioned bench under them. Behind the counter, three brick arches hold the shelves. The lighthouse logo sits on the curve of the façade, above the words “cookiebeacon brunch”.

The entrance side has a high marble table with bar stools, and the espresso bar sits at the end of the cookie counter.

What is coming to the Amman menu
